Redaction Rules

With Redaction Rules it's easy to keep your PII data fresh and not collect data that is not being used. Recipients deleted by a redaction rule doesnt not remove them block lists. Read more on how block lists work here

Activating Redaction Rules will remove recipients.

Recipients matching the active rules will be deleted and can't be undone. Make sure the correct rules are active.

Rules are run daily

When activating a rule it's not run directly. The rules are run every night.

Automatically delete mail recipients who hasn't received emails

This rule automatically deletes all recipients who have not received an email after the time you specify. Recipients who have, for example, opted out, had their emails bounce or for any other reason never receive any emails will be deleted after the desired period.

Automatically delete email recipients who haven’t opened emails

This rule automatically deletes all recipients who have not received and opened an email after the time you specify. Recipients who for various reasons never open any emails will be thinned out after the desired period.

Automatically delete registrations for completed events

This rule automatically deletes all form response data associated with completed events a certain amount of time after the event has taken place that you specify.

Registrations for events normally contain personal data that shouldn’t be kept forever.

Automatically delete survey responses

This rule automatically deletes all form response data linked to surveys after the time you specify.

Responses to surveys or questionnaires may contain personal data, in which case they should not be kept forever.

Automatically delete email recipients in the Total Opt-Out List

This rule automatically deletes all recipients that have been in the Total-Opt-Out List for longer than the time you specify.

Automatically delete email recipients in the hard bounce list

This rule automatically deletes all recipients who have been in the hard bounce list for longer than the time you specify below.

Note that this function works even if the email address is unidentified.

Automatically delete mail recipients that hasn't been updated

This rule automatically deletes all recipients that have not been updated via an import, integration or manually after the time you specify below.

This is useful when you rely on another system to provide fresh recipient data for each send out.
