Sending Information¶
Overview¶
Lime Marketing is an enterprise-level email marketing platform that allows organizations to send both informational, transactional and marketing emails. Our platform handles email authentication, deliverability optimization, bounce processing, and compliance with email best practices.
Deliverability Features¶
- Automated bounce handling and classification
- Monitoring of 80+ email blacklists
- Automatic throttling to major mailbox providers
- Feedback loop processing with major providers (e.g., Outlook)
- Automated unsubscribe handling
Authentication¶
Lime Marketing implements industry-standard email authentication methods:
- DKIM: All emails are DKIM signed using the sender's domain
- SPF: Sending IPs are authorized in SPF records for our return-path domains
- DMARC: All emails pass DMARC via DKIM alignment more info here
- SPF-alignment: Not by default but can be achivied for those customers using a custom return-path domain
Sending IP Ranges¶
- 84.19.149.64/27
- 84.19.143.0/27
Default Return-Path Domains¶
For customers not using custom return paths, emails will come from these domains:
- mail-01.lm-mail-6.com
- a-mail-02.bwz.se
Blacklist and Abuse¶
Over 80 blacklists are automatically monitored. If one of the sending IPs is blacklisted that IPs is removed the pool of sending IPs and the de-listing process is started.
Blacklist and isolation
If a customer is found responsible for a blacklisting or reputation decrease that customer is isolated from the shared IP pool used for send outs by Lime-Marketing ops.
Complaints¶
Feedback loops are setup with major mail providers like Outlook. When a recipient reports an email as spam/junk Lime Marketing automatically unsubscribes the recipient from the sending publication.
Multiple complaints from the same recipient
If 3 or more complaints are made by the same recipient - that recipient is moved to total opt-out.
Bounces¶
Bounces are automatically handled and the rules to detect and categorize the bounces are continuously improved. Hard bounces (indicate non working email address) are automatically removed from all future sendouts. This knowledge is shared between all Lime Marketing customers.
Best Practices¶
Our platform enforces email best practices:
- List-Unsubscribe headers in all emails that include an opt-out link
- Bounce management and suppression
- Complaint handling through feedback loops
- Support for custom return-paths to improve sender reputation
Troubleshooting¶
If recipients report missing emails from our platform:
- Check spam/junk folders
- Verify our sending IPs are not blocked in your security systems
- Confirm our return-path domains are not blocked
- Ensure your systems accept emails that pass DKIM but might not pass SPF alignment
- To ensure optimal email deliverability, please consider whitelisting our IPs and/or MAIL-FROM domains
