Sending

To maximize email throughput several actions are needed from the customer

  • Only send emails to persons who has requested it
  • Never use bought lists
  • Make it easy to unsubscribe
  • Set up sending domains with custom return-path

Throttling

Lime Marketing automatically throttles the rate of delivery over multiple IPs. Custom rules are continuously improved upon to increase the speed and rate of delivery with mail providers.

Bounces

Bounces are automatically handled and the rules to detect and categorize the bounces are continuously improved. Hard bounces (indicate non working email address) are automatically removed from all future sendouts. This knowledge is shared between all Lime Marketing customers.

Blacklist and Abuse

Over 80 blacklists are automatically monitored. If one of the sending IPs is blacklisted that IPs is removed the pool of sending IPs and the de-listing process is started.

Blacklist and isolation

If a customer is found responsible for a blacklisting or reputation decrease that customer is isolated from the shared IP pool used for send outs by Lime-Marketing ops.

Complaints

Feedback loops are setup with major mail providers like Outlook. When a recipient reports an email as spam/junk Lime Marketing automatically unsubscribes the recipient from the sending publication.

Multiple complaints from the same recipient

If 3 or more complaints are made by the same recipient - that recipient is moved to total opt-out.

For customers not using custom return path these are the main domains used for MAIL FROM/Return Path
